What do you have to measure to buy a toilet seat cover?
Did you think I meant measure you a$$! I want to know what to measure so that it fits perfectly on the ceramic toilet. Why don't they make standard sizes? The landlord's maintenance guy has brought 2 different ones and both don't fit or perhaps he is doing something wrong. This present one looks right... perfect the top of the toilet well, but the plastic rod that passes through the actual seat and the cover seems to move and then the cover falls off. Please solve this problem for me. I hate touching toilet seats!
I was helping a relative with that problem. I took a double page from the newspaper and put it down on the ceramic. Then I put down the toilet seat and traced around it with a marker.
I brought that paper into Lowe's and matched the outline on it against the sample seats they had on the wall.
